Easily one of the most captivating and mysterious automobile manufacturers in the world,  Iso hit on a highly successful formula: installing powerful American V-8 engines into small, lightweight, Italian coachwork penned by some of the best designers in history. Designed by Bertone with the assistance of noted designer Giorgio Giugiaro, the Grifo was powered initially by Chevrolet’s venerable 327-cu. in. V-8. By 1969, however, Grifos like the car offered here were powered by the iconic 7 litri, Chevrolet motor which had been made world famous by powering Corvette race cars around the most storied racing circuits worldwide. Though limited in production, these 7-Liter cars were highly desirable in the period and remain so to this day. This example is presented in lovely Bordeaux paintwork with full Saddle leather and rare Magnesium knock-off wheels. Having single ownership since 1984 and imported from Italy in 1985, this Grifo was completely restored in 1989 and still presents beautifully today. This example is a rare Series I car with a  factory conversion of a Series II nose, executed in period.
